So I'm sure most of you know that I had to give up my Minger Ding for adoption a few weeks ago. Gosh I get teary-eyed even thinking about it now. But I thought this would be the best time to just get the pain over with.
Ever since I've been single again, for the last year and a half or so, my life has been crazy flip turned upside down like the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Between working like crazy, playing on my new kickball league (yay), fiiiiinally finding some single people to share this nutty life with, giving my family love, scheduled time with my coupled friends, and traveling, that left me with zero time for my favorite little buddy. And as much as I loved him, I knew he needed a new home. A home where someone would care for him the way that I can't anymore. At least until I settle down a bit, whenever in the world that shall be! He's just so loving and hungry for attention, he needs someone that's settled. I felt it in my heart.
So I decided on a no kill, no cage shelter. This way I would know that someone would adopt him that truly wanted him, I wouldn't have to feel like I'm pawning him off on anyone. But great things happened! When I took him in, they told me that he was being picked for their outsourcing program. This is where they send the unique animals to special adoption shows at Petsmart and Petco. As soon as they told me, I balled. It was more a happy cry that time because I knew someone was going to snatch up my baby love.
It's crazy because before I moved, I got teary-eyed everyday when I got home and he wasnt there. But since I'm at this new place, it's good. Because I'm used to him not being here. The only time I get upset is when I pass the pet isle at the grocery store. Come on, I'm not THAT strong! Gets me every time.
Here's to my Ming and his new family! :-)

Mingy mingy mingaling! I will miss the mingers. He will be happy in his new home, though, and you don't have to feel guilty about anything! You can't help that you are gone a lot and it's not what's best for Ming. We both know he is way more needy than most cats...more like a dog...kinda like wobus wobus. :)
Thanks for your words in your comment...Remember our 3 am talks in college? You still have a free pass for those you know :)
You are not allowed to EVER move farther than Dallas by the way...
Sweet Ming... Hopefully he and Lewy will find a home soon. I had my mom take Lewy yesterday. Couldn't bring myself to do it. But I know it is best for him/her. Sweet Lewis Pewis and Sweet Mingers. Hey, maybe they will get a home together!! I know how much Lewy would love that!
